Tamiya – Repsol Honda RC211V ’03 – Valencia – Finished

I did make a few mistakes with the decaling but nothing major it was just that some of the decals were a little brittle but i am fine with the final result to say its only the 2nd one i have done.

i changed the blue colour of the bike to black instead cin as i am not a fan of the blue colour and i have tones of black.

this has been fully hand painted which i think is probably easier then spray painting it and gives the same effect. i used no primer i painted on a thin coat then did a thicker coat and left to it to dry fully for around 2-3hours which is the same time as spray painting but when hand painting i didn’t have to faff with priming, waiting for that to dry then spraying the paint and it always took longer to dry, i have now tried both ways and will be continuing to hand paint from now all. much simpler and quicker to do.

i think this was another nice and simple bike to build yes the decals were a bit more complex but its all good fun and i greatly enjoyed it and as one of my fav rossi bike love that i now have it in my collection.

well after all that writing here are the final pictures of the finished bike.

Hi, nice blog! I’d like to ask this, did you paint back the body cover or just leave it as it is (original yellow)?

    Thanks.
